Blacka Group: Tannoy Sound System Installation for Hovis Trafford Park
Built-in 1907, the iconic Rank Hovis Mill is the only flour mill still operating in Trafford Park. In its heyday, there were three mills handling wheat imported by sea, particularly from Canada and transported via the Manchester Ship Canal. Today the wheat is brought by road from Liverpool.
RHM plc, formerly Ranks Hovis McDougall, was a United Kingdom food business but was acquired by Premier Foods in March 2007. The site had three milling units producing 4,500 tonnes of flour per week.
Blacka Group installed a digital Tannoy sound system into the service yard of Hovis Trafford Park. Blacka Group also provides the facility with maintenance and support services.
